THE TABLE

Food, kept personal.

Food is part of how we take care of you at Dharma.

Sometimes that means breakfast arriving quietly at your house. Sometimes it means cooking together in our kitchen. And sometimes it means sitting around the table for a dinner that lasts a little longer than expected.

There is no fixed dining room and no particular way you need to eat here.

Some meals come to you. Some are worth coming to the table for.

BREAKFAST, WHERE YOU WANT IT

Breakfast is included with every stay.

Choose between our Scandinavian Breakfast and Japanese Breakfast sets, prepared around your preferences and dietary needs.

We can bring breakfast to your house, serve it in Dharma Studio, or welcome you to the Main House.

You only need to tell us where you would like to begin your morning.

LUNCH & SOMETHING IN BETWEEN

Lunch and snacks can also be arranged during your stay.

They can be brought to your house or served elsewhere at Dharma — wherever feels right that day.

There is no need to organise your day around a dining schedule. Tell us what you feel like having, and we will arrange the rest around you.

DINNER AT DHARMA

Our evening table is a seasonal three-course dinner, personally prepared and served by your host, Raymond.

The menu follows the season and what we can find locally, with some of the Asian flavours that naturally find their way into the Dharma kitchen.

Dinner is accompanied by a considered wine pairing, with a non-alcoholic pairing available as well.

Vegan menus and other dietary preferences can also be arranged — just let us know beforehand.

No restaurant. No crowded dining room.
Just dinner, prepared for you.

COOKING TOGETHER

A little piece of Indonesia in Muhu.

This is less about watching a cooking demonstration and more about being in the kitchen together.

We prepare two dishes close to Raymond’s Indonesian roots: Soto Ayam, a warm aromatic chicken soup, and Perkedel Jagung, Indonesian corn fritters.

We chop, cook, taste and talk together in the Main House kitchen.

And when everything is ready, the cooking class simply becomes dinner — shared around the same table.

A PRIVATE CHEF AT THE TABLE

For a different evening, we collaborate with professional local chefs to create a private dinner at Dharma.

The chef cooks in the Main House kitchen while you are there — close enough to watch, ask questions, talk about the ingredients or simply enjoy the evening.

There is no separation between kitchen and dining room here.

The cooking becomes part of the dinner.

Menus are created according to the season, the chef and your preferences.

TASTE THE ISLAND

Sometimes the table is somewhere beyond Dharma.

Muhu and Saaremaa are home to small seasonal restaurants, local kitchens and people doing thoughtful things with island ingredients.

Tell us what you are curious about, what you enjoy eating and anything we should know about your dietary preferences.

We can suggest where to go, make the reservation and arrange your transport.

Many restaurants on the islands are seasonal, so we recommend planning this part of your stay in advance.

You enjoy the island.
We take care of the practical part.

BEFORE YOU ARRIVE

Food at Dharma is personal, and some tables need a little more preparation than others.

Private chef dinners, Indonesian cooking, special menus and restaurant visits around the islands are best arranged before your arrival and remain subject to season and availability.

If there is something you particularly love — or something you would rather not eat — tell us.

We will shape the table around you.
